BlueProc Solutions GmbH, based in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany, operates in the Information Technology Services industry. BlueProc runs an online matchmaking procurement platform focused on Information Technology, Engineering, and Consulting Services. In addition, BlueProc provides consulting and training services in IoT and Cloud Managed Services.
 

BlueProc Procurement and Promotional Platform is a disruptive, decentralized, and collaborative ecosystem designed to accelerate the next wave of digital transformation. It offers a unified, multifunctional, and networked procurement experience, shifting from a traditional linear process to collaborative, community-led interactions.

The Story

After working in the IT and engineering service industry for around seventeen years, the founder and the team found the industry needs a disruptive and one-stop-solution to meet supply and demand mismatches. The need for a dedicated B2B Procurement Platform for technology, engineering, and consulting services,  as "eProcurement portal as a service" in short "eProcurement as a service". The trend of a Business to Business portals are not new. However, with the evolution of technology, we need to change the way they function.  The present eProcurement set-up has a large scope for improvements. Most of the companies invested and heavily investing in developing own eProcurement systems. Most of the cases, the result ended up in developing another database or datacenter. No value realization is happening. Moreover, companies not able to manage demand and supply mismatch. This is where BlueProc incubated and offering, a unified platform, to bring the best values to both buyers and suppliers with respect to savings, response time, competitive offers.

 

The big enterprises have set up their own procurement portal. However, procurement is not the CORE BUSINESS. The main goal of the e-proc system is to get the supplies. Unfortunately, they have invested a lot of time and money building on-premises or cloud-based e-procurement portal, security measures,  training the internal staff, suppliers, developing documents, upgradations',  migration, support  & help desks to solve internal and external users' issues and so on. In some cases, the e-Proc portals have resulted in data collecting centers! and are not interactive and not leads to any collaboration unless someone triggers it. A lot of prerequisites and to get registered, to become an approved supplier and to start involved in the bidding process. A lengthy process and bureaucratic approach still rule the e-proc systems before they start posting a request or participate in a bid.  Another key issue here is that the procurement staff may not possesses all the skills required to maximize the use of digital capabilities. This creating a bottleneck, especially for engineering services.  Small and medium companies still go with the traditional email of file-sharing services to deal with procurements. The returns on investments will be very minimal if they invest in developing and maintain in-house e-procurement portals. 
 

BlueProc to bridge the gap between and procurements of the Buyer side and the business development of the Supplier side. Here, Buyers are who frequently outsource Information Technology, Engineering, and Consultancy work to suppliers to build their products. Suppliers are Information Technology, Engineering, and Consultancy services providers Or product developers who offer solutions to the buyers. Present eProcurement systems are not effective, not organized, networked and focused on a collaborative approach.  The whole system is highly fragmented, expensive and centrally controlled. When the companies are looking for the next transformation, which needs most advanced technologies, short-term engineering services, and moreover the newly developed technologies should reach the right audience.

BlueProc strongly believes that the next transformation needs a fundamentally new approach in the way procurement functions in the areas of technology solutions, engineering and consulting services, and the way the delivery and related process functions.  We found a Procurement and Promotion needs a disruptive makeover to cope with the next transformation. Being a platform is about enabling interactions within a closed and secure ecosystem. BlueProc approach is also to reduce manual and other traditional non-effective efforts in selecting the right suppliers or to find the right buyers. BlueProc platform facilitates a networked ecosystem to find deals and solutions fro tech needs. BlueProc eProcurement as a service platform will reduce business development and procurement budgets. Some study quotes, Inefficient email transactions and excel sheets still rule the procurement system and limit competitive offerings. Individualized supplier and buyer relationships dominate the procurements. Till today 40% -50% of manual efforts account for finding and selecting the right suppliers/buyers. This effort could be reduced to 10%-20% through the BlueProc platform.
